Mrs. Terrie Bjorklund - Principal's Secretary at Arlington High School
Terrie is an amazing lady. She is not only a terrific secretary who always keeps the front office running smoothly, but always kind, polite and caring. As the new budget program goes into effect she has encountered numerous obstacles as she inputs the information, and yet she is always positive, upbeat and has a beautiful smile. She keeps the rest of AHS upbeat and positive. Thanks for all your hard work.

Mr. Rufus Jenkins - Security Officer at Boles Junior High
Mr. Jenkins is always ready and willing to come visit with one of our students who may need just a little redirection. He is always professional and positive in working with our students who are having a rough day. Recently, he ordered a pizza and paid for it out of his own pocket for a student just because he had formed a positive relationship with this young man. Mr. Jenkins is making a huge difference in this boy's life just by caring. Officer Jenkins goes above and beyond being "remarkable.”

Mrs. Kim Peters - Special Education Team Leader at Miller Elementary
Kim is the team leader for one of the largest special education programs at the elementary level. With more than 20 members to account for, she manages schedules, student needs, dissemination of information and still has time to meet the needs of all her students. Without her, our students and staff would be lost. Thanks Kim!!

Kelly V. - Student at Shackelford Junior High
Kelly is one of my eighth-grade AVID students who was frustated with her PAP English class reading "Tom Sawyer." I gave her the opportunity to drop PAP and move into the Academic English class. She chose to stay saying she doesn't want to "quit" on herself. She is now attending tutoring and getting help from her PAP English teacher and AVID classmates so that she can succeed in her class. Way to go, Kelly!
