In the Spirit
Front Page Image West Elementary hosted its first Trunk or Treat for parents, students and community members on Friday, Oct. 30. Staff members dressed in costume and decorated their trunks; kindergarten teachers dressed as M&Ms. Candy and Halloween good wishes were passed out to students and their parents, most of whom came in costume. At one point in the evening primary students performed “Monster Mash” and intermediate students danced to “Thriller.” Both dances had been learned during music and PE times.
Supporting a Cause
Front Page Image Morton Elementary celebrated pink day on Oct. 27. All faculty, students and parents were encouraged to wear pink to promote breast cancer awareness and to help find a cure.
Curb Appeal
Front Page Image Superintendent Jerry McCullough pitched in with staff members and parents on the landscaping beautification project at Webb Elementary.
