National Merit Scholar Semi-Finalist

Jared R. W., is among the approximate 16,000 Semi-finalists in the 55th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. To be considered for a Merit Scholarship award, Semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of competition. To become a Finalist, a Semifinalist must have an outstanding academic record throughout high school, be endorsed and recommended by the high school principal, and earn SAT scores that confirm the student’s earlier performance on the qualifying test. Jared was one of 1.5 million juniors who entered the 2010 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2008 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT) which served as an initial screen of program entrants. Congratulations to Jared and his family as he continues in the Merit Scholar competition.
